From the Piedmont region of Italy. A translucent ruby in color, Bigaro is a blend of Moscato and Brachetto. The Brachetto not only gives the wine its beautiful color, but it shifts the flavors from tropical fruits in the direction of red fruits. It is sensational with sorbets and hazelnut and chestnut desserts. The name Bigaro means "speckled" in the Piedmontese dialect and refers to the wine's delicate ruby color. |
